Macho Gomez is said to be “the baddest, most feared operator in the galaxy.”
At one point, Macho Gomez was recruited by Funtzel
of Funtzel Intergalactic Towing & Recovery to assist Obb in his recovery efforts, but when the mercenary married Orksa, he convinced his brother-in-law to expand his society’s operations.
They were contacted by Commander Kak, leader of the remnants of the Ongulian Defense Fleet, to kill Id, the Selfish Moon, but even Macho refused the job, finding it too dangerous.
He was hired to kill the family of Amalgamated Armament’s CEO Reginald Harris, but was tricked into thinking Reginald had been annihilated by Deadpool. Macho went after Deadpool to be compensated for his lost wages, but was defeated. He later tracked Deadpool to the home of Reginald Harris, who had faked his own death. After another fight with Deadpool, Macho was stuffed into an escape pod and thrown into space, while Wade took his spaceship and replaced it in Funtzel, marrying Orksa.
Deadpool decided to stay on Earth, as Blind Ale, Sluggo, Taskmaster, Weasle, Big Bertha, and even Bob found out, who informed them all when Deadpool returned to Earth and visited him.
The entire team, including Al’s dog, Deuce, but not Bob, attacked him at the same time. Sluggo was killed in battle by Weasle’s misdirected shot, and Macho was stopped in his fight with Bob’s mutant corn, but the others managed to kill Deadpool for a time …
Later, Macho appeared in an intergalactic maximum security prison, sharing a cell with Rocket Raccoon, who came forward after being wrongly accused of murder. In exchange for help with his escape and the promise of riches, Macho agreed to help Rocket hunt down whoever framed him. When the team found the real culprit, Macho stopped helping Rocket when Blackjack agreed to pay Macho and his gang to leave the two Halflings to fight each other.
