Sinister Six: Covert / Instinct / Ranged / Tech
Mysterio is one of the main antagonists in Marvel Comics, most often serving as an enemy of Spider-Man, Deadpool, and Daredevil. He is a super villain who primarily uses illusions and other gadgets to commit crimes.
Mysterio’s identity has been adopted by three different people over the years: Quentin Beck, Daniel Berkheart and Francis Klum.
Quentin Beck was born in California. He began his career in Hollywood as a stuntman and then as a special effects specialist in movies. Eventually, he came to the conclusion that he needed to become a criminal in order to succeed.
Beck formed an alliance with the inventor Tinkerer. It was confirmed that Quentin was one of the “aliens”. Quentin impersonated Spider-Man and committed crimes in New York City on his behalf. Then, as Mysterio, he went to the Daily Bugle editorial office, promising to get rid of the pest. Mysterio challenged him to a duel on the Brooklyn Bridge, where he won a decisive victory. Thus he was hailed as the new hero of the city. The next time Spider-Man found him, he asked him about his origins. Mysterio admitted that he impersonated Spider-Man, and at that time the hero recorded him on a tape recorder. He managed to easily defeat his opponent and hand him over to the police. Not long after, Mysterio showed up at a meeting organized by Doctor Octopus, to which four other villains were invited. At the meeting, the Sinister Six, a group of super villains then consisting of Sandman, Electro, Kraven the Huntsman, and Vulture, were founded. Mysterio went to the address, where he constructed robots that resembled members of the X-Men. Spider-Man guessed that they were controlled by Quentin, so he found him behind a glass window and knocked him out there. He and the other members were arrested.
