Red-Skull-01

Red Skull – the main antagonist in the 2011 film Captain America: The First Clash and a minor antagonist in Avengers: War Without Borders and Avengers: Endgame.

He is the first leader of Hydra and the right hand of Adolf Hitler. He was very brutal and as a fanatic he pursued his goal without any restraint.

He was played by Hugo Weaving, who also played Agent Smith and voiced Megatron.

Johann Schmidt was the leader of the scientific Nazi organization Hydra during World War II. Hitler was forced to distance himself from the organization because it was too violent for the public. In the meantime, due to frequent exposure to various harmful substances, his white skin began to fade, replaced by red.

Schmidt became obsessed with obtaining one of the Infinity Stones, a Tesseract that could transport the user anywhere in the world.

After some time, word began to reach the Red Skull that the new super-soldier Captain America and his team of Howling Comandos were destroying more Hydra bases and factories.

The fight between Schmidt and the Captain occurred on a plane about to crash in New York City. The two fought over the Tesseract on board. When Red Skull got hold of the coveted item, he touched it and its unimaginable power shot it into space or another universe.

As it turned out, the power of the Tesseract did not kill Red Skull, but sent him to the distant planet Vormir, where one of the Infinity Stones, the Soul Stone, was located. Schmidt became its guardian, having been trapped on Vormir for over 80 years.

In 2018, Vormir was visited by Thanos and his daughter, Gamora. The Skull welcomed him and explained the ritual required to claim the Soul Stone. Thanos had to kill Gamora to get the stone.
